Motus Functional Fitness & Pilates is a boutique personal training and Pilates studio in River North, Chicago, offering a complete approach to movement, strength, and recovery. We combine Reformer Pilates, private Pilates sessions, personal training, physical therapy, esthetic services, massage therapy, and recovery services including infrared sauna and cold plunge to create a truly integrated fitness and wellness experience.
Our beautiful 3rd floor loft, offers an elevated studio experience designed with your comfort and convenience in mind. With key code access, spacious movement areas filled with natural light, lockers, showers, and dedicated recovery spaces, every detail is thoughtfully designed to create a seamless transition from movement to restoration. The word Motus comes from the Latin origin movere, meaning “to move.” It represents movement, motion, and the ability to change position, state, or condition. It represents the impulse or force behind action and progress.

The change came when I started personal training with Vince Barbaro. It’s been almost 2 years and I haven’t looked back. He assessed my personal condition and, based on his experience and extensive knowledge about physiology, he revamped my routine.
